Under the able leadership of Ellen Woodbury, Our Family Promise Program, we periodically host and feed several homeless families seeking housing and employment in our community Many Hope volunteers participate. We hosted five family promise  weeks in 2008 and have about 75 volunteers signed up with a core group of 25-30 who serve on a regular basis.

Each host week requires about 35 volunteers if each person only works 1 shift.  The number of Guests ranged from  eight in March to 13  during our final 2008 host week in October.  In summary, during 2008 we hosted 12 separate families and approximately 47 clients ranging in age from newborn to a couple in their 50's.

While we have had generally good participation by our Hope members, we do have a program to actively recruit more Hope volunteers.  We also have a partner, Peace Lutheran in Belgrade, who helps provide volunteers to staff the program.  Ellen does occasionally have to rely on volunteers from other local churches to staff the program.
